Tonight, so many people rallied together to get Andy to his $1000 goal! The total raised for Andy during the 2011 Angel Tree was $1000.52.

Even better news - just seconds ago, the last 2 children on the tree reached their $1000 goal. That means ALL of those little angels met their goal of $1000! Yay!

AND, even BETTER news - 20 of these children now have a family! This time next year, these kids will most likely be enjoying the holidays with their very own FAMILY, in a warm, safe, nurturing home - not a horrible, loveless orphanage. I LOVE IT!

I hope that Andy has touched your life throughout this campaign. I hope that you have learned to truly love another. You don't have to know someone to love them. We all need love, and it can be expressed in so many ways. Whether you donated, prayed, or just shared Andy with your family and friends, you helped - you opened your heart - you loved. Thank you.

We're halfway there!!!

Thanks to everyone's generous donations, we have raised $500 for Andy! It's not over yet, though. We still have another $500 to go. Please share with your family and friends. I have already seen this little man touch hearts & change lives in this short time we've been rallying together for him. God does incredible things through anyone - the greatest of us and the least of us. Has little Andy touched your heart? Has he changed the way you look at the world around you? Welcome, fellow warriors!

Today is the first day of the 2011 Christmas Angel Tree campaign! Meet "Andy", my waiting angel! I am his Reece's Rainbow Christmas Warrior this year. The goal is to raise at least $1000 for this little guy to get one step closer to going home to a family that will love him, support him, and offer him a life full of opportunity. I will be hosting a variety of fundraisers and activities from November 1st through December 31st to raise money for Andy's adoption fund. I invite you to be a fellow warrior for Andy this holiday season. We can all be a blessing to this child, and believe me, he will be an incredible blessing to us as well!

This is not just about raising money. It is about raising awareness for Andy, orphans, and Down syndrome. It is about opening our minds and making room in our hearts. Let go of yourself and step outside of your world and leave yourself open for God to use you to bless this child and to be blessed. There is power in prayer - don't forget to pray for little Andy!
